LE MONTAGNE CINESI COLORATE SONO UNO SPETTACOLO NATURALE UNICO Le immagini sembrano essere frutto della mano di un pittore, eppure le montagne cinesi colorate sono un vero e proprio spettacolo creato dalla natura. Fanno parte del Parco geologico nazionale del Danxia Geopark che si trova in Cina a nord-ovest della città di Zhangye, nella provincia di Gansu.
Le montagne cinesi colorate si estendo per circa 300 chilometri quadrati ricreando quello che sembra uno scenario da favola. L’effetto è un po’ quello delle bottiglie di vetro riempite di strati di sabbia multicolor, è talmente bello che sembra quasi finto. Eppure tutto è reale, i colori insoliti delle rocce derivano dal deposito, avvenuto nel corso del tempo, di vari minerali di differente pigmentazione.
Parliamo di un processo che ha avuto inizio oltre 24 milioni di anni fa. Le rocce sono a tratti lisce, a tratti taglienti e sono alte diverse centinaia di metri. Le forme strane e bellissime sono dovute all’azione del vento e della pioggia che le hanno scolpite aggiungendo ulteriore fascino al già singolare effetto cromatico. Ecco quindi che pilastri, torri, valli e cascate si differenziano anche per colore, oltre che per forma, inclinazione e dimensione. Le increspature della terra nascono invece dallo scontro tre l’Eurasia e la placca indo-australiana.
Le montagne cinesi colorate sono entrate a far parte del patrimonio dell’umanità UNESCO nel 2010.
