British Airways e altre compagnie hanno cancellato parte dei loro voli odierni anche dagli aeroporti londinesi di Heathrow, Gatwick e London City, sebbene la capitale sia relativamente meno battuta d’altre zone.
Come riportato da Ansa: La tempesta Ciara e le sue forti correnti sull’Atlantico e il Nord Europa hanno aiutato a battere per ben tre volte il record di velocità di voli commerciali tra New York e Londra, che hanno coperto la tratta in meno di 5 ore. Secondo i dati del sito di monitoraggio aereo Fligthradar, citato dai media francesi, un Boeing 747 della British Airways ha collegato l’aeroporto di Jfk a quello di Heatrow in 4 ore e 56 minuti, invece delle 6 ore e 13 stimate.
