Un’inchiesta partita dalla città di Bergisch Gladbach, in Germania, ha fatto emergere una rete di pedofilia dove sono coinvolti 30mila sospettati, indagati sia per possesso di materiale pedopornografico, sia per abusi. Le indagini sono nate lo scorso autunno da alcuni casi di abusi sui minori: in particolare da un uomo di 43 anni arrestato vicino Colonia per aver abusato della figlia, averla filmata e averne poi diffuso il video online. Attraverso questo singolo caso, la polizia ha rintracciato diverse chat in cui oltre 1.800 partecipanti si scambiavano contenuti pedopornografici.
Il ministro della giustizia del Land del Nordreno-Vestfalia Peter Bisenbach a Duesseldorf, spiegando i dettagli dell’inchiesta in conferenza stampa si è detto “scioccato” dalla una rete criminale internazionale: “Non avevo mai sospettato neppure lontanamente questa dimensione del fenomeno degli abusi in rete – ha commentato – Dobbiamo ammettere che questi crimini sono molto più diffusi di quanto immaginassimo”. Le chat, stando agli inquirenti, avevano il loro epicentro in Germania, ma i contenuti viaggiavano anche in Austria e in Svizzera. I pedofili usavano questi canali per caricare i video delle violenze perpetrate, commentarle e incoraggiarsi a vicenda. Fino ad ora, nel caso della rete scoperta a partire da Bergisch Gladbach erano stati identificati 72 sospettati.
