Cittadini come scudo dei magistrati e dei rappresentati delle istituzioni in Calabria. E’ questo il messaggio che la società civile vuole lanciare alla collettività il prossimo sabato 18 gennaio a Catanzaro. In piazza Matteotti alle ore 11 si terrà infatti davanti al Palazzo della Procura della Repubblica, una manifestazione, per “dimostrare vicinanza al procuratore Capo Nicola Gratteri, ai magistrati e a tutte le forze dell’ordine“. Inoltre sempre a Catanzaro è nato anche un comitato civico. “I cittadini – si legge in una nota – si propongono quale scudo etico, civico di questi rappresentanti delle istituzioni nel loro impegno, a rischio della vita, per “liberare” la Calabria dal male peggiore che la soffoca, la stritola e la sottomette ogni giorno di più. L’incontro, dinanzi al tribunale di Catanzaro dove il dottor Gratteri e il suo team lavorano, è del tutto privo di connotazioni ideologiche, politiche. L’invito è fatto solo a chi, con la sua presenza, vuole manifestare la propria solidarietà e gratitudine: nessuno slogan, solo un senso di vicinanza, di prossimità. Cittadine e cittadini liberamente uniti solo da uno scopo: schierarsi al fianco delle istituzioni, quando da queste si sentono tutelate e le vedono rappresentate da servitori che ne incarnano i valori. Non facciamoli sentire soli: in passato abbiamo assistito inermi a forme di isolamento nei confronti del pool antimafia di Palermo (Rocco Chinnici, Giovanni Falcone, Paolo Borsellino). Non deve succedere mai più, né in Calabria, né altrove“.
