Si è costituita la Rete dei Sindaci, denominata ‘Recovery Sud’, che avrebbe il compito di presidiare l’arrivo dei soldi del Recovery Fund nelle casse dei Comuni del Sud Italia. C’è da chiedersi come verranno utilizzati quando arriveranno nelle casse dei suddetti Comuni. È sempre la politica a gestire i soldi, mai i cittadini. Tra qualche giorno daremo vita al nostro nuovo Movimento ‘Progetto di Vita per il Sud’ (www.progettodivitasud), che si prefigge la finalità di contribuire al miglioramento della condizione socio-economica dei territori del Sud Italia. I Sindaci certamente fanno bene a battere i pugni per ottenere i fondi, ma essi rappresentano pur sempre la politica ed i relativi partiti politici. Noi siamo realmente a favore del rilancio dei territori e del popolo del Mezzogiorno, che devono essere i veri destinatari dei soldi del Recovery. La politica nel Sud Italia ha fallito, sicché permettere che essa gestisca in autonomia i fondi significa correre il rischio che l’aiuto europeo finisca nel baratro del nulla. Bisogna, pertanto, istituire specifici Comitati di cittadini che controllino l’operato dei Sindaci. Il Sud non può più eludere la necessità migliorare realmente la propria condizione socio-economica. Non dimentichiamoci che nel Sud Italia le mafie sono collegate alla politica più che altrove. Fatta tale premessa, non perdiamo di vista la necessità di salvaguardare l’utilizzo dei soldi del Recovery.
