Venerdì scorso si era saputo che circa 1.300 persone erano state messe in quarantena per le esercitazioni militari internazionali Cold Response 2020 in Norvegia a seguito della positività al coronavirus in uno dei partecipanti alle manovre. “A seguito della situazione con il coronavirus in Norvegia, le forze di difesa hanno deciso di non partecipare alle esercitazioni Cold Response 2020. Tutti noi speriamo che vada bene a Schooll (la base in cui i militari sono in quarantena). Naturalmente è stata una delusione per la nostra brigata, ma è meglio prevenire che curare”, si legge nel comunicato dei militari finlandesi.
Secondo i programmi, 400 militari finlandesi avrebbero dovuto prender parte alle esercitazioni, inclusi soldati del servizio di leva, militari professionisti e personale di manutenzione. Le esercitazioni invernali della Nato Cold Response 2020 inizieranno in Norvegia lunedì con 16mila militari di 10 Paesi.
