La struttura del Commissario per l’Emergenza Covid, Francesco Figliuolo, ha avviato le disposizioni per la vendita o manifestazioni di interesse riguardo ad un “accumulo ingente” di mascherine prive della certificazione Ce e altri materiali destinati all’emergenza Covid nella prima fase della pandemia nel 2020, non più impiegabili. Secondo quanto si legge dalla determina del Commissario, il materiale occupa un volume complessivo di 40mila metri cubi nei magazzini. “Non sono mai state richieste, né dalle Regioni, né dagli altri enti convenzionati” e “oggi non trovano più nessuna possibilità di impiego”. 218 milioni sono quelle da distruggere. A provvedere allo smaltimento, per 698mila euro, è un’azienda specializzata di rifiuti, la A2A, che ha vinto l’apposito bando. I dispositivi da eliminare sono le cosiddette ‘mascherine di comunità’ (acquisite dalla precedente struttura commissariale, consentite in una prima fase della pandemia, prive di certificazioni e meno efficaci di quelle chirurgiche), che finora sono state stoccate nei magazzini della struttura per 313mila euro al mese.
