Eppure, il caro energia sta mettendo in ginocchio alcuni settori della nostra economia che più dipendono, per la loro attività industriale, proprio dalle forniture di metano ed elettricità. Una situazione drammatica che riguarda un po’ tutti, ma che colpisce in primis aziende cartarie e chimiche, fonderie, aziende di trasformazione alimentare. «Il caro energia – dice Mauro Gola, presidente di Confindustria Cuneo – sta già iniziando a mettere in ginocchio alcuni settori dell’economia che più dipendono, per l’attività industriale, dall’approvvigionamento di gas e di elettricità, in particolare le aziende cartarie, le fonderie, le aziende di trasformazione alimentare e quelle chimiche.
Queste preoccupazioni si innestano su una situazione che, nel quarto trimestre 2021, secondo il Centro studi di Confindustria, mettono in evidenza una frenata dell’economia italiana: oltre alla repentina impennata dei costi dell’energia, preoccupano la scarsità di commodity, i margini erosi e l’aumento dei contagi.
Ciò nonostante, il trend di risalita dovrebbe proseguire: dopo il rimbalzo del terzo trimestre (+2,7%), il Prodotto interno lordo italiano oggi è a -1,3% dal livello pre-Covid (era arrivato -17,9%) ed è previsto che completi il recupero nei primi mesi di quest’anno.
Lo scenario per il comparto industriale di per sé sarebbe favorevole, ma l’aumento abnorme del prezzo europeo del gas e, quindi, dell’elettricità in Italia (+572% a dicembre sul pre-crisi), se persistesse, metterebbe a rischio l’attività nei settori energivori, sommandosi alla scarsità e ai rincari di vari input produttivi.
